Royal New Zealand Navy Contract Signed

Sentinel Boats is honoured to announce that it has been awarded the contract to replace the RNZN’s fleet of Naval Sea Boats.
We will deliver 17 RHIBs, with an option for an additional three boats that may utilise electric propulsion to reduce carbon emissions while undertaking training.
Our Sentinel 780R solution brings together three key attributes. Firstly, an advanced design from our globally renowned partners one2three naval architects; secondly the material advantage offered by our use of High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) to create a virtually indestructible and long-lasting hull, and finally the incredible craftsmanship and unique construction IP we have developed over the last 30 years.
Sentinel was selected over much larger multi-national defence manufacturers, as testament to the company’s growing reputation for quality, performance and strength.
The contract shows a high level of trust from the RNZN, built upon by the successful delivery of three Sentinel 1250 Littoral Manoeuvre Craft (LMC) last year. For the LMC project Sentinel Boats was awarded “NZDF Prime Contractor of the Year”: which is not only a testament of the performance and quality of our boats, but also how we work in close collaboration with our customers.
Everyone at Sentinel is proud of the announcement and we look forward to delivering a fleet of high performance, world leading sea boats that will support those who serve the Royal New Zealand Navy for many decades to come.
