The Sentinel 550

The Sentinel 550 is designed specifically for in-shore and near-shore patrol applications with a highly configurable layout and ability to house additional enhancements to suit operational requirements. The HDPE hull is capable of withstanding hard beaching and the generous deck space allows for the addition of storage lockers. A dive door can also be fitted upon request.

This vessel has been put to extensive use by Queensland Police, Northern Territory Police, Tasmanian Inland Fisheries Services, Birkenhead Point Marine and Rufus King Fisheries, all boasting little to no maintenance downtime since commissioning. Ten vessels were ordered by Queensland Police and delivered in 2018.  The benefits of near indestructible HDPE hulls and limited maintenance requirements are fully realised in remote locations as far north as Thursday Island. Northern Territory Police have also deployed a Sentinel 550 to challenging topical locations after a previous boat was holed and made inoperable.
