Finishing a delivery to WA

Sentinel Boats is finishing up a busy work stint, farewelling three 6.5-metre urban flood boats. These vessels were the last of 12 manufactured for Western Australian Fire & Emergency Services and will be used in flood and rescue recovery operations.

The fleet uses our virtually indestructible HDPE hull, with 450mm hard collars, side access hatches, and enough deck space for a Jason’s Cradle for water recoveries. These boats are capable of withstanding strikes against underwater obstacles, which are common in urban flood waters. The user-friendly design and durable construction will serve on-water rescue personnel well for a long time.

In early November, our Project Manager, Dana Cleary made the trip west for an on-water demonstration and signed the vessels over to their new home and crew. It has been a pleasure producing this fleet for WA, and Sentinel Boats looks forward to helping more Australians stay safe on the water.
